Firefighters have responded to a hay lorry blaze in Carmarthenshire.
Crews from Morriston, Port Talbot, Carmarthen, Tumble and Llanelli were called at 4.14pm on Monday to the incident between the Pont Abraham and Cross Hands roundabouts.
An articulated lorry carrying around 44 tonnes of hay was “well alight” on the westbound carriageway of the A48.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said its crews used two hose reel jets, one 45mm jet, one turnable ladder used as a water tower, one highways telehandler and one water bowser.
Crews left the scene at 12.39am on Tuesday, but by the time the vehicle was recovered in the early hours of the morning, a “large quantity of hay” had reignited.

The fire crew from Pontarddulais was called at 2.16am and extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets, before they left the scene at 5.30am.
The fire service said the hay and the lorry’s trailer were completely destroyed by fire.
