Downtown Bangor Partnership with a New York firm for hundreds of thousands of dollars? I am confused. I hear so much about “keeping it local, shop local.” Yet we are hiring out of state! After reading the article, I feel the homeless are the main focus here, not to help but eradicate them. And if we need trash to be removed from downtown, why not hire local people who need employment?
How about giving a homeless person a job, And why have people patrol during the busy part of the day when that is probably the safest time of day when downtown is hustling?
This whole idea of hiring outside of our community is just wrong.
