A Presque Isle man who was shot last week died two days later from his injuries, according to Maine state police.
Police responded at about 7:25 p.m. Thursday to an incident near 1055 Westmanland Road in the Aroostook County town of Westmanland, Shannon Moss, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson, said in an email.
There they found that Brandon Belanger, 22, had been shot.
He was brought to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died two days later, on Saturday, Moss said.
Police have not released any other details about the incident, but Moss said the case and circumstances remain under investigation, and there is no danger to the public.
