A Volkswagen Jetta suffered a mechanical malfunction on Meadow Road in Casco Sunday, causing the driver to lose control and the car to roll over several times, police said.
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Craig Smith said the driver lost control of the car just before noon Sunday.
The driver, Connie Scott, 60, of Norway had to be extricated from the car by Casco first responders. Smith says Scott was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which he believes prevented more serious injury. Scott was taken to Bridgeton Hospital for treatment.
