A man allegedly burned two homes on Mount Desert Island on Monday.
Glenn P. Stanley, 58, of MDI was charged with arson in both fires, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Stanley allegedly set fire to both properties off Stanley Mountain Road, a dead-end road off Route 198, in Mount Desert on Monday afternoon.
No one was home at either property at the time, Moss said late Monday night.
Stanley was taken to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth.
No additional information is being released at this time.
